Bloomberry Refutes Claims of Casino Expansion in Thailand
Bloomberry Resorts Corporation has dismissed rumors suggesting plans for constructing and operating a new brick-and-mortar casino in Thailand, despite the country's progress toward establishing a regulated gambling industry.

Recent reports hinted at the possibility of Enrique ‘Ricky’ Razon, the Filipino billionaire and chairman of Bloomberry, contemplating expansion into Thailand. According to an article on bilyonaryo.com, Razon has expressed interest in establishing a resort casino in Thailand.

Bloomberry has responded by releasing a statement to the Philippine Stock Exchange, clarifying its position regarding the reports. Despite this, Bloomberry acknowledged that the prospect of legal gambling in Thailand is generating significant market interest.
“The article is essentially a speculation that Bloomberry ‘is expected’ to join ‘global gaming leaders who have shown interest in establishing a resort casino in Thailand’,” Bloomberry said
“There have been reports that Thailand is contemplating a gaming law but we have no idea what form it will be. It is of market interest. But to say that Bloomberry confirms that it has ‘plans to expand in Thailand’ is a part of the writer’s speculation. There is no such plan.”
Bloomberry is presently concentrating on its casino ventures in South Korea and the Philippines. They manage one integrated resort in each country, and they recently inaugurated a second location in the Philippines just last week.
Big casino companies like Wynn Resorts and Las Vegas Sands are thinking about setting up casinos in Thailand. Wynn Resorts CEO Craig Billings mentioned they're exploring options but it's still early, and they're waiting to see how things like regulations and licenses will work out. He thinks Thailand's already a great place for tourism and they're keeping a close eye on the situation.
Las Vegas Sands' CEO Robert Goldstein also said they're interested in Thailand because of its large population and popularity as a tourist destination. He thinks it could happen faster than expected, maybe even quicker than their plans for Japan. They're still figuring out the details but they're excited about the potential.
